Mallorca is a perfect destination for yacht charter. There are convenient flights to Palma from every major airport in the UK, and the prices are reasonable. Within a short distance of the major sailing charter centres are a plethora of harbours, marinas, anchorages and old towns. The weather is Mediterranean, with clear blue skies, bright sunshine and a regular afternoon breeze to help give you a real sense of fun.

There's more than just the sailing though. The wildlife is a major attraction. Mallorca is great place for bird-watchers and the waters around Mallorca, Menorca and Ibiza are home to many dolphins. The Balearics also have great food (with seafood an obvious speciality) and a rich and varied history encompassing Moors, the Spanish, the French, the British and many other cultures. I've been sailing for 20 years, spent an entire summer cruising the Mediterranean and keep my yacht Tripitaka in Puerto Alcudia in the north-eastern corner of Mallorca.
